Welcome to Pushaw Law
The Law Office of Christopher E. Pushaw started in 2009. Prior to founding his law practice, Mr. Pushaw worked as an associate for the Philadelphia law firms of Stradley Ronon and Montgomery McCracken. Mr. Pushaw started his career as an associate for Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York City, which is consistently ranked as the top law firm in the United States.
Mr. Pushaw most recently served as General Counsel for Morey’s Piers in Wildwood, New Jersey. He advised its C-Suite on a variety of strategic transactions. He negotiated deals covering three amusement piers, four hotels and related development entities. He also managed litigation, compliance and benefits programs for 150+ employees across enterprise. Apropos the challenges presented by our current pandemic, he guided the company through operational, contractual and insurance issues created by COVID-19.
Prior to serving as GC, Mr. Pushaw directed the e-commerce, digital marketing and social media channels for two major financial institutions, including mobile product and service initiatives. He has drafted, reviewed, and negotiated partnership and procurement contracts for major pharmaceutical companies, hospitals and retailers. Mr. Pushaw also cut his transactional teeth as the lead attorney for Bank of America’s co-branded and affinity credit card division. He ran a portfolio of over 500 sponsored partners, including universities, professional sports franchises, airlines and major nonprofits. Mr. Pushaw reviewed all related vendor and consulting agreements. He executed numerous acquisitions and divestitures across the portfolio, exceeding $8 billion. He also worked with outside counsel as well as the Bank’s business, finance, operations, audit, privacy and tax subject matter experts.
Mr. Pushaw holds a J.D. from The Yale Law School, where he served as an Essays Editor for The Yale Law Journal. Prior to law school, Mr. Pushaw earned a Master’s degree in English from the University of Wisconsin. Mr. Pushaw was the valedictorian of his undergraduate class at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Pushaw is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. He has been admitted to practice before the courts of New York State and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, as well as the federal Court of Appeal for the Second Circuit and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Pushaw serves on several charitable boards in the Delaware Valley. Mr. Pushaw is a member of the Thomas More Society, the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Philadelphia Art Museum. He is active in the Philadelphia alumni chapters for Yale Law School, Catholic University and Malvern Preparatory School.
